Do you like Christmas tree glowing with bright lights? I love white lights on Christmas trees because I decorate my tree with handmade ornaments from my kids, ornaments from my grandparents’ tree, and random ornaments I have picked up over the years.

I have a scrawny 6′ tree and I love to overload my tree with sentiment of years past. I did do several trees when the kids were small and we had a large home but our current home does not have space for a large tree. I had a tree for the kid and their ornaments and then I had 2 others for my ‘themes’. I would go all out but life happened over the past few years and now I just enjoy one tree adorned with beautiful and loving memories.

Below is my 5 minute quick video of how I put lights on my tree for maximum impact. The video shows in better detail how I lay and loop the Christmas lights on the tree. This 6′ skinny Frazier Fir which I bought for $30 a few years ago really looks great lit up. This method works on most artifical trees and with some patience could easily work on real trees. I would make sure to have plenty of lights and a normal 6′ tree would need at least 6-8 strands of 100 lights for maximum impact. I have in past years put 6 strands on my tree but this year I decided to use 4 for the blog to see what it would look like. I think it looks beautiful, don’t you?
Merry Christmas and I hope you try my version of Christmas lights on your tree. Below is my fully decorated tree with years of memories and love.
