What is the mark on top of the spray can for?
Have you ever noticed the dot or marking on your cooking spray, paint spray, or even on your can of WD40?
The dot or marking you see by the nozzle on the spray paint can is for you, the consumer, to get every drop of product out of the can.
How? because you line up the arrow on the nozzle to the dot or mark on the can to spray out all the product.
Why? let me tell you how I found out.
Hubby “do you know why this dot is here on the spray can?”
Me: “no”
Hubby: “I didn’t either until years ago when a product service rep came in the shop trying to sell me his product. I said to him (the product rep) that I was sick and tired of throwing out a can when it was not empty. The product rep then took the can from my hand, lined up the nozzle to the dot, and said ‘now try it’ and it worked. Then the product rep explained to me that there is a straw inside that goes to the edge of the can and the dot lines up with the bottom of the straw.”
Hubby: “the straw is curved and goes to the edge of the can just like your clear spray bottles of cleaner”
Me: “boy I wish I would have known that years ago!”
What is the mark on top of the spray can for? The next time you see someone who is spraying you can ask this bit of trivia and see if they know.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to share more tips in the future.
